AN ACT
To amend the National Housing Act, as amended.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
That section 603 (a) of the National Housing Act, as amended, is hereby amended by (1) striking out “$800,000,000” and inserting in lieu thereof “$1,200,000,000”; and (2) striking out of the third proviso “July 1, 1943” in each place where it appears and inserting in lieu thereof “July 1, 1944”.
Sec. 2.
The first sentence of section 2 (a) of such Act as amended,
12 U. S. C., Supp. II, § 1703 (a).
Post, p. 571.
is amended by striking out “1943” and inserting in lieu thereof “1944”.
