AN ACT
To provide for the appointment of one additional district judge for the northern district of California.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
That the President
California.
Appointment of district judge.
is authorized to appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, one additional district judge for the District Court of the
Time limitation.
United States for the Northern District of California: Provided, That unless the President shall, not later than July 1, 1946, submit a nomination to the Senate to fill the office hereby created, then in that event this Act shall be of no force and effect.
