AN ACT
To amend section 16 of the Act entitled “An Act to adjust the salaries of postmasters, supervisors, and employees in the field service of the Post Office Department”, approved October 24, 1951 (65 Stat. 632; 39 U. S. C. 876c).
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
That section 16 of the Act entitled “An Act to adjust the salaries of postmasters, supervisors, and employees in the field service of the Post Office Department”, approved October 24, 1951 (65 Stat. 632; 39 Ü. S. C. 876c), is amended by inserting after the period at the end thereof a sentence to read as follows: “On and after July 1, 1952, postmasters, officers, and employees covered by this Act may be paid the compensation prescribed for their grade and position.”.
Sec. 2.
Nothing in this Act shall be construed or interpreted to reduce the pay of any employee.
