AN ACT
To amend title 10, United States Code, to authorize the appointment of citizens or nationals of the United States from American Samoa, Guam, or the Virgin Islands to the United States Military Academy, the United States Naval Academy, and the United States Air Force Academy.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

States Code, is amended as follows:
Section 4342(a) is amended—
by striking out the word “and” at the end of clause (8);
by striking out the period at the end of clause (9) and inserting the word “; and” in place thereof; and
by adding the following new clause at the end thereof:
“(10) one cadet from American Samoa, Guam, or the Virgin Islands nominated by the Secretary of the Army upon recommendations of their respective Governors.”
Section 4342(c) is amended—
by striking out the words “clauses (1)–(5)” and inserting the words “clauses (1)–(5) and (10)” in place thereof; and
by striking out the words “or Puerto Rico,” and inserting the words “, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, or the Virgin Islands,” in place thereof.
Section 6954(a) is amended by adding the following new clause at the end thereof:
“(9) One from American Samoa, Guam, or the Virgin Islands nominated by the Secretary of the Navy upon recommendations of their respective Governors.”
Section 6958(b) is amended—
by striking out the words “clauses (3)–(7)” and inserting the words “clauses (3)–(7) and (9)” in place thereof; and
by striking out the words “or Puerto Rico,” and inserting the words “, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, or the Virgin Islands,” in place thereof.
Section 9342(a) is amended—
by striking out the word “and” at the end of clause (8);
