AN ACT
To amend section 109 of the Merchant Marine Act, 1936, as amended.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
That section 509 of the Merchant Marine Act, 1936, is amended by inserting in the fourth sentence thereof after the words, “oceangoing barge of more than two thousand five bundled gross tons” a comma and the words, “or in the case of a vessel of more than two thousand five hundred horsepower designed to be capable of sustained speed of not less than forty knots”.
