AN ACT
To amend section 502(a) of the Merchant Marine Act, 1936.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
That the third sentence of section 502(a) of the Merchant Marine Act, 1936 (46 U.S.C. 1152(a)), is amended as follows:
(1) By striking out “June 30, 1973” and inserting in lien thereof “June 30, 1976”.
(2) By striking out the words “and 41 per centum in fiscal 1973” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “41 per centum in fiscal 1973, 39 per centum in fiscal 1974, 37 per centum in fiscal 1975, mid 35 per centum in fiscal 1976”.
