To amend section 1521 of the Public Health Service Act to authorize the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare to extend conditional designations of State health planning and development agencies.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
That the first sentence of section 1521(b)(2)(B) of the Public Health Service Act is amended to read as follows: “The period of an agreement described in subparagraph (A) shall not extend beyond July 31, 1979, or thirty-six months after such agreement has been entered into, whichever comes later.”.
